Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of rental equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

You will document work orders and demonstrate equipment to customers while delivering excellent service. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and 1–2 years of hands-on repair experience with tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed
