Job summary

SCS Engineers in Modesto, CA is seeking an Equipment Operator with excavator experience to support landfill gas collection and related projects.

You will operate excavators and other heavy equipment, assist with drilling and hand shoveling as needed, and follow safety practices. A valid driver's license and 40-hour safety training are required; 3+ years of excavator operation is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of excavator operation experience.
• 40 Hour Health and Safety and Trenching Excavation Safety training.
• Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Operate an excavator on pipelines and for remediation work and other heavy construction tasks.
• Operate a compactor (roller) to compact soils.
• Assist with drilling projects by moving and lifting materials.
• Assist with hand shoveling near utilities or sensitive areas.
• Follow safety codes for heavy equipment operation, trenching and well construction.
• Report malfunctions or equipment problems to the Project Superintendent/Manager.
