Job summary

Altec is seeking a hard-working equipment mechanic to join our nationwide service network. You will replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components on heavy equipment and use manuals and manuals such as operator and maintenance guides to troubleshoot and identify required parts for repair.

You will perform inspections, maintain safety procedures, and communicate status to supervisors. Join a team of 45+ service centers with a potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, farm equipment.
• Education in mechanics, electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Utilize technical resources to troubleshoot, procedures, and identify parts needed for repair.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Comply with Altec Safety practices and procedures.
