Job summary

Altec is seeking a dedicated equipment mechanic/technician in the United States. You will replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components on heavy equipment, using manuals and resources to diagnose issues and determine the necessary parts for repair.

You will perform unit inspections, maintain a safe workplace, and support customer relationships through accurate documentation and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, or related heavy equipment.
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician focusing on heavy equipment.
• Education in mechanics, electrical or hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Utilize manuals and maintenance resources to troubleshoot and identify parts.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and prepare reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Adhere to Altec Safety practices and procedures.
