Altec is seeking a field mechanic to perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components on heavy equipment across the U.S. and Canada.

You will use manuals and available technical resources to troubleshoot and identify parts, conduct unit inspections, and maintain a safe, clean work area. The role requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills, physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and readiness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling.
• As needed, provide basic tools per the Altec tool policy.
• Drive motor vehicles.
• Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to support customer by working overtime.
• Advocate safety in everything we do.

Responsabilités

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Utilize technical resources (operator, parts, manuals, HowFactory) for troubleshooting and identifying parts.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Perform tasks in alignment with Altec Safety practices.
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship.
• Provide accurate and sufficient information on required documents.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values.
• All other duties as assigned.
