Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking a field equipment mechanic to replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components and to troubleshoot using operator manuals and maintenance guides. You will perform Unit Condition Inspections and maintain a safe, clean work area while adhering to Altec Safety practices.

Overtime may be required and strong customer relations are essential. Ideal candidates have experience with heavy equipment or aerial devices and hold a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes; or heavy equipment.
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, with a focus on heavy equipment.
• Education in mechanics, electrical or hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot using manuals and resources to identify parts.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Perform all tasks in line with Altec Safety practices and procedures.
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship.
• Provide accurate information on required documents.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values.
• All other duties as assigned.
