Job summary

WWC Sheridan is seeking an environmental technician to perform sampling, testing, site assessments and inspections, and assist with remedial options. You will also help with research and technical reporting, entry of data, and contractor oversight.

The successful candidate will be a self‑starter with knowledge of water sampling systems and environmental sampling standards. Travel is required, including overnight trips up to a week, and in‑office work may occur at any Wyoming WWC branch.

Qualifications

• Familiar with the environmental consulting field.
• Basic computer skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office and water sampling technology.
• Strong organizational ability and verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects soil, soil gas, sediment, surface water and groundwater samples.
• Perform Phase I ESA site reconnaissance visits.
• Provide contractor oversight.
• Inform project managers of field problems and help with solutions.
• Travel out of town, potentially up to a week at a time.
