Job summary

WSP in the Cheyenne, WY area seeks an Environmental Technician to support environmental operations with a focus on groundwater and soil remediation systems. You will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain systems, collect samples, and document field activities for multiple sites primarily in Wyoming and northern Colorado.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a field-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in construction, equipment operation and maintenance or remediation system maintenance.
• Good mechanical and electrical skills.
• Self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Able to pass physical, background check and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of Senior Environmental Scientist.
• Travel to project sites around Cheyenne, WY using company vehicle; field work ~95%.
• Operate and maintain remediation systems (groundwater and soil).
• Assist in site characterization and sample collection.
• Prepare clear daily field reports.
• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for parts and supplies.
• Proactively troubleshoot and schedule tasks across multiple sites.
