WSP is seeking an Environmental Technician to support our environmental operations in the greater Cheyenne, WY area. The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical skills, field work, and coordination with vendors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction or remediation system maintenance, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Location options include Fort Collins/Loveland area with extensive field travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of experience in construction, equipment operation and remediation system maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills are required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with a team.
• Able to follow procedural manuals and instructions precisely.
• Must pass physical, background check and have a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision and mentorship of a Senior Environmental Scientist.
• Travel to project sites primarily in the greater Cheyenne, WY area using a WSP vehicle; ~95% field work.
• Operate and maintain remediation systems (groundwater and soil) including pumps and power supply.
• Assist in site characterization and monitoring including soil, groundwater, and air samples.
• Prepare accurate, clearly written daily field reports to support field activities.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and subcontractors to obtain parts, chemicals, and sampling kits.
• Proactively schedule tasks across sites to maintain reliable systems and meet compliance.
