Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services invites applications for an Environmental Specialist III. This role supports the Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) programs, delivering BMPs in coordination with FDEP, WMDs, SWCDs, and landowners.

You will perform on-site irrigation system evaluations, assist with pre/post evaluations for cost-share projects, and document data in FDACS templates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years in agriculture or environmental science; or 1.5 years as Environmental Specialist I+ with FDACS; or a bachelor’s degree with 6 months of experience in agriculture or environmental science.

Responsabilités

• Assist with coordination and implementation of Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) programs.
• Travel to assigned sites for on-site irrigation system evaluations on commercial groves, farms, and nurseries.
• Document field data in approved templates and upload into MIL database; generate grower reports.
