Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Enviro Socio Permitting team in Florida. The successful candidate will support field work and associated reporting for projects across a variety of sectors, including energy, rail, and infrastructure in the southeastern United States.

The position will require travel up to 50%, with a hybrid work structure allowing remote work and in-office collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or similar environmental discipline.
• 2+ years of environmental field work experience and associated reporting.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to develop reports/permit applications.
• Experience using GPS field technology.
• 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response certification.
• Knowledge of southeast natural resources, including wetlands, vegetation, or wildlife.

Responsibilities

• Support field work and reporting for projects across energy, rail, and infrastructure in the southeastern United States.
• Travel up to 50%, including overnight travel.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, and environmental documents for summaries and permitting.
• Interact with interdisciplinary teams and regulators to ensure compliance.
