Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field required.
• 2-5 years+ related work experience required.
• Must have strong written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with setup and use of GPS devices a plus.
• Experience directing subcontractors a plus.
• OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to work locations, possibly overnight, and work in other states.
• Monitor geotechnical and environmental drilling and test pits.
• Produce boring logs with soil and rock classifications.
• Collect geotechnical and environmental soil samples.
• Perform low flow groundwater sampling.
• Perform field tests on soil and rock.
• Use geotechnical and environmental instrumentation and equipment.
• Conduct site reconnaissance.
• Prepare detailed field notes and photographs documenting observations.
• Prepare daily/weekly field reports with figures and photos.
