LAUKOA is seeking an experienced Environmental Monitor to join our conservation and planning team for a dedicated project along the U.S./Mexico border. The role emphasizes field data collection, compliance with BMPs, and documenting environmental observations.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of environmental monitoring at construction sites, a BS in biological sciences, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions, often in remote field locations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of environmental monitoring experience.
• BS in biological sciences or related field.
• Experience monitoring at construction sites preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily environmental field notes with photographs.
• Collect project-related data and document BMP compliance.
• Conduct pre-construction surveys for nesting birds and wildlife as needed.
• Communicate with construction personnel, government, agencies, and stakeholders.
