Job summary

ERM is seeking Environmental Inspectors to oversee environmental compliance during the construction of a natural gas pipeline in Morgantown, WV. This full-time, limited-term role spans 7 months starting January 2025, with a 60-hour work week and field-based responsibilities.

You will conduct inspections, training, and coordination with agencies and contractors, while documenting findings and supporting mitigation and permits. Physical work in varied weather is required.

Qualifications

• BS or BA preferred or equivalent experience in environmental inspection or monitoring.
• 2+ years of environmental inspection, monitoring, or permitting in energy projects.
• Natural gas transmission experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct environmental training for construction personnel.
• Perform field inspections, monitoring, and surveys as directed.
• Serve as liaison with agencies, landowners, contractors, and clients.
• Review project documents and guide environmental compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate field staff schedules.
• Assess field conditions to anticipate environmental impacts.
• Oversee mitigation implementation and environmental sampling.
• Document compliance with daily inspection reports and photos.
