This role requires hands-on fieldwork, collaboration with project teams and subcontractors, and proactive issue resolution to keep projects moving. You will manage SWMPs, permits, and environmental documentation, travel across Colorado, and ensure adherence to CDOT and CDPHE requirements while supporting

Qualifications

• Heavy civil, highway or transportation construction experience.
• Hands-on erosion and sediment control on active sites.
• Experience conducting erosion inspections and identifying issues.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado stormwater rules and CDOT requirements.
• Experience maintaining SWMPs and inspection notebooks.
• Experience with environmental permitting (stormwater, dewatering).
• Ability to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and regulators.
• Willing to get involved in project execution when needed.
• Travel between Colorado projects as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental and erosion control compliance across active heavy civil and highway construction projects.
• Conduct regular erosion control inspections and project walks, identifying deficiencies and making sure corrective actions are completed.
• Manage and maintain Stormwater Management Plans (SWMPs), SWMP notebooks, inspection records and required environmental documentation.
• Help obtain and maintain required environmental permits, including construction stormwater and dewatering permits.
• Make sure projects are meeting applicable CDOT, CDPHE and construction stormwater requirements.
• Coordinate directly with CDOT environmental personnel, inspectors, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors and regulatory agencies.
• Work closely with field teams to make sure erosion and sediment control measures are properly installed, maintained and repaired throughout construction.
• Support environmental preconstruction planning and project closeout requirements.
• Track environmental issues and corrective actions through resolution.
• Travel between RLW projects throughout Colorado as needed.
