Job summary

Strlco is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Lead to oversee erosion and sediment control across active heavy civil and highway projects in Colorado. You will conduct inspections, identify deficiencies, and drive corrective actions to ensure CDOT, CDPHE and stormwater compliance.

You will manage SWMPs, permits and documentation while coordinating with regulators and project teams. The role requires hands-on field work, strong communication, and the ability to travel between Colorado

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy civil, highway or transportation construction.
• Hands-on erosion and sediment control on active sites.
• Inspections and identification of compliance issues.
• Strong understanding of Colorado stormwater rules and CDOT requirements.
• Experience managing SWMPs and SWMP notebooks.
• Experience with environmental permitting including stormwater and dewatering permits.
• Ability to communicate with project managers, crews and regulators.
• Willing to engage in project execution when needed and travel across Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Oversee erosion and erosion control compliance across active projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and site walks; document deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Manage SWMPs, notebooks, records and related environmental paperwork.
• Help obtain and maintain required environmental permits.
• Ensure projects meet CDOT, CDPHE and stormwater requirements.
• Coordinate with CDOT personnel, inspectors, PMs, superintendents and subcontractors.
• Work with field crews to install, maintain and repair erosion control measures.
• Support preconstruction planning and project closeout requirements.
• Track environmental issues and corrective actions through resolution.
• Travel between RLW projects in Colorado as needed.

• Abilitytoworkindependentlyandmanageenvironmentalresponsibilitiesacrossmultipleprojects.
• WillingnesstotravelbetweenprojectsthroughoutColorado.
