Job summary

North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) in Mooresville reports to the Division of Energy, Mineral & Land Resources. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum.
• Equivalency: an equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs preliminary review of applications for the four regulated programs within the DEMLR.
• Inspects sites/facilities regulated under Sediment, Stormwater, Dam Safety and Mining programs.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance and written compliance documentation to staff and clients.
