Job summary

WestLand Engineering and Environmental Services, a Trinity Consultants team, seeks an Environmental Compliance Inspector to join the Tucson office. The role involves monitoring construction activities for regulatory compliance, performing site inspections, documenting findings, and coordinating with project management and regulators.

The role requires knowledge of environmental regulations, strong field communication, and the ability to work in varied field conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Experience in environmental inspection or related field.
• Strong observational and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with construction personnel, project managers, and regulators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions.
• Monitor erosion control, spill prevention, and other environmental protection practices.
• Document inspection findings with photos and reports and share results with management.
• Advise crews on corrective actions for compliance issues.
• Coordinate with project management, contractors, and regulators on compliance matters.
