Job summary

MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) is seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector to support projects across Western Virginia near Roanoke. The role requires at least 2 years working with state and federal environmental regulations and related programs.

Responsibilities include inspecting site activities, reporting noncompliance related to ESC and SWM, and providing technical guidance during inspections. Occasional overnight travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with state and federal environmental regulations (ESC/SWM)
• Reading and interpretation of ESC and SWM plans and contract specs
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities and report noncompliance related to ESC and SWM
• Perform daily records of environmental compliance observations
• Provide guidance during inspections for ESC measures, SWPPP, SPill Containment Plans and MS4 programs
• Interpret regulations and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Operate safely in outdoor environments and manage rough terrain
• Travel as needed for site inspections
