Clean Harbors in Roseville, MN is seeking an Environmental Center Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack and inspect chemical waste at customer sites and our facilities. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork, with on-site and outdoor work across plants, labs, and customer locations.

Responsibilities include preparing packing lists, labeling, inspecting storage areas, and ensuring shipments meet OSHA/EPA/DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license required.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• By position, obtain CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment.
• Must perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical as applicable.
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, meet facial hair standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare computer generated packing lists, labels, manifest, and land disposal restriction notifications.
• Inspect storage areas and drums for leaks, spills, and labeling compliance.
• Collect, segregate, and package waste chemicals for disposal.
• Perform site visits at customer locations including Fortune 500 companies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations and safety guidelines.
