Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Support Position to work on a Southeast Virginia project, supporting the signal shop and field operations.

Responsibilities include assembling plan sheets, reviewing field conditions, managing data for ~189 signals, and ensuring accurate data entry; candidates must communicate clearly and work independently.

The role requires flexibility for 24/7 operations, safety focus, and the ability to drive to remote sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Operations Maintenance principles such as data collection, pavement markings, markers and messages, traffic signs and guardrail.
• Ability to enter timely and accurate data into automated systems.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Skill in the use of computers and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble plan sheets, task orders, and data sets to support the operations of the signal shop.
• Perform field review of work plans, to includes driving a state-owned vehicle to remote sites to meet with maintenance personnel who will facilitate equipment access.
• Document site conditions and validate work plans based on field review.
• Assemble models for timing of signals (approx. 189 signals in the assigned area).
• Reconcile work plans and data sets with signals team/ management input.
• Perform focused, accurate data management and entry for prolonged periods.
• Carefully access critical information systems and networks controlling physical roadway infrastructure and electronic assets.
• Other necessary duties to meet work plan goals.
