Job summary

The North Dakota Department of Transportation's Devils Lake District is seeking Engineering Technicians at multiple levels to support outdoor construction projects and transportation infrastructure. You will work with a dedicated team to deliver safe, efficient roads and bridges across our state.

Qualifications

6+ years related experience; engineering or related college coursework/degree may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
4+ years related experience; engineering or related college coursework/degree may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
2+ years related experience; engineering or related college coursework/degree may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
High school diploma or GED required with basic understanding of job-related concepts.
All Levels: Ability to work outdoors in all weather and on uneven/slippery surfaces.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Valid North Dakota Class D driver’s license.
Material testing is preferred.
MOS codes may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Conduct field inspections for construction projects to ensure plans and specs compliance.
Use MicroStation to measure quantities and create reports and plan sheets.
Test road and bridge materials to meet NDDOT specs.
Assist project engineers with final records and district design tasks.
