Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE) seeks a Project Engineering Technician II in Marion, NC. You will assist registered engineers, perform inspections and sampling of construction materials, and help ensure QA for projects of varying sizes.

You will collect materials on site, monitor activities, and prepare daily reports detailing test results and observations for the project engineer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of experience in construction materials testing or >5 years with suitable certifications.
• Active certifications: ACI-1 Concrete and ICC Soils (or SCDOT/NCDOT Earthwork) plus ability to obtain another certification within 3 months.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (3 years).
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and weather for extended periods.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently; strong written and verbal communication.
• Basic knowledge of smartphones/computers (MS Office).
• Ability to stand, walk, lift 70–85 pounds on uneven ground.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and sampling under supervision of a registered professional engineer.
• Collect concrete, soil, and site materials for testing and monitor contractor activities.
• Prepare daily reports with test results summaries and site observations.
