Job summary

Roche Support Network seeks a Field Engineering Specialist to repair Roche product lines and support laboratory customers in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. This field role requires up to 50% travel and on-site service with thorough documentation of activities.

The candidate should have a technical background, engineering/related degree or equivalent experience, and readiness for training at the Indianapolis HQ. A strong customer-focus is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1–2 years of progressive repair/servicing experience.
• Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required.

Responsibilities

• Showcase expertise in technical repair for Roche assigned product lines.
• Offer service to laboratory customers in the assigned territory.
• Provide routine technical support, on-site service and repair of Roche products.
• Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and maximize customer satisfaction.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
