Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to serve as the primary client contact during field operations in Williston, ND. You will conduct site assessments, troubleshoot issues, and deliver on-site engineering support to meet client needs.

You will analyze well performance, assist completions engineers with stimulation design, and recommend optimal well/processing placement. Travel within district/HQ as required after relocation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field engineering experience, preferably client-facing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel within district or HQ as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for clients during field operations.
• Conduct site assessments, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide on-site engineering support.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are captured and implemented.
• Analyze well performance and assist in optimizing stimulation design.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for well and processing equipment placement.
• Monitor production rates and rework processes to improve output.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations from field observations.
• Support project planning, execution, and post-project reviews with continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulations, and company policies.
