Swagelok Minnesota is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to join our Williston, ND team. You will apply engineering expertise directly with oil, gas, and chemical customers, identifying solutions and providing vendor-managed inventory services in the field.
You will generate P&IDs, discuss designs with customers and engineers, and work with the market team to support account and market plans. Travel to customer sites is required, with extensive training and certification opportunities

In this role, you’ll spend time both in the office and at customer sites, where you’ll identify solutions, support engineering applications, and provide vendor-managed inventory services. You’ll generate P&IDs and quotes, collaborate with customers and other engineers on designs, and partner with our market team to support account and market plans. You’ll also provide customer training, support inventory management, and troubleshoot technical challenges independently.
The ideal candidate has engineering experience in the oil, gas, or chemical industry and is comfortable working independently in a field-based, customer-facing role. You’ll need strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Curiosity, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, organization, initiative, and a willingness to continuously learn are critical to success. This position is Monday through Friday and involves regular travel to customer locations.
