Job summary

Austin Powder Company seeks a Director of Field Engineering to lead North American engineering and a multi-disciplinary project portfolio. The role drives planning, development, and execution for capital projects across manufacturing assets and distribution sites, supporting growth while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will guide a team of engineers and managers, establish standards, and align project execution with strategic objectives. Travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years in engineering/manufacturing/capital projects.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience.
• Experience in explosives or high-hazard environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the engineering organization and capital project portfolio across North America.
• Lead, develop, and mentor multidisciplinary project teams and technical specialists.
• Oversee all phases of project execution from concept to closeout.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company objectives.
• Present updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.
