Job summary

Knoxville Utilities Board is seeking an Engineering Associate to help keep water and wastewater systems running safely and efficiently. Working alongside Engineers, Project Coordinators, and other professionals, you’ll tackle a variety of hands-on field and engineering projects with opportunities to learn and grow.

You’ll help find underground water leaks, identify wastewater I&I sources, maintain and troubleshoot metering and pressure equipment, and support system improvements and capital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years of demonstrated experience in related field.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve departments and KUB goals.
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Help find underground water leaks and identify I&I sources.
• Maintain and troubleshoot metering and pressure equipment.
• Support system improvements and capital projects.
• Assist with operation and maintenance activities in water and wastewater systems.
• Provide customer support and train for storm response and other emergencies.
