Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in the United States is seeking a Field Engineer, Utilities Maintenance to support electro-mechanical equipment in production. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and implement improvements across electrical, HVAC/R, and boiler systems.

This on-site role requires a minimum of five years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work with planners and supervisors to keep schedules compliant and equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• High school degree or GED required.
• Electrical: Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent preferred.
• HVAC/R: EPA Universal Refrigeration Technician certification preferred.
• Boiler Operations: Boiler operator license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains utility equipment supporting production schedules and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoots and implements corrective action for performance issues.
• Identifies upgrades to enhance performance and reliability with approvals guidance.
• Supports training of maintenance personnel on electro-mechanical equipment.
• Assists and supports engineering projects involving electro-mechanical applications.
• Follows company policies and SOPs including EHS, training and financial controls.
• Coordinates with Planner/Scheduler and supervisors to ensure scheduling and timely work orders.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by manager to support operations.
• Uses CMMS to document work and ensure PM compliance.
