Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim Field Engineer, Utilities Maintenance position located on-site supports production schedules with maintenance and reliability improvements. The role focuses on electro-mechanical systems across electrical, HVAC/R, and boiler operations, with hands-on troubleshooting, PMs, and project involvement.

Candidate must have strong maintenance background, relevant licenses or certifications, and ability to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Electrical focus: Journeyman Electrician license; supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• HVAC/R focus: EPA Universal Refrigeration Technician certification; lead experience preferred.
• Boiler Operations focus: 1st class boiler operator license; high-pressure boiler experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; drug test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain utility equipment supporting production schedules and quality.
• Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Coordinate with planners and supervisors to ensure scheduling and compliance.
• Utilize CMMS to document work and complete preventive maintenance.
• Assist and support engineering projects involving electro-mechanical systems.
• Follow company policy and safety SOPs.
