Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Field Engineer, Utilities Maintenance to support design, testing, and implementation of electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, perform PMs, repair, modify and ensure equipment reliability across electrical, HVAC/R, and boiler systems.

You’ll collaborate with planners and supervisors, follow SOPs, and use CMMS to document work and preventive maintenance timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years maintenance experience.
• Electrical: Journeyman Electrician License and potential leadership experience.
• HVAC/R: EPA Universal Refrigeration Technician certification and supervisory experience.
• Boiler Operations: 1st class boiler operator license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain utility equipment supporting production schedules.
• Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for performance issues.
• Identify upgrades to improve performance and reliability.
• Support training of equipment owners and maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate with planners and supervisors to ensure scheduled work.
• Follow SOPs including financial, EH&S and training requirements.
• Utilize CMMS to document work and PM compliance.
