Job summary
Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a NETA-accredited independent electrical testing and engineering firm serving data centers, utilities, renewables, transit, and industrial facilities across North America. The Field Engineer will perform acceptance, maintenance and commissioning testing of protective relaying, breakers and transformers in substations, with hands-on field work and strict safety standards.
A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience are required, along with
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related and 3 years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing protective relays on high voltage substations.
- Experience with installing, maintaining, and testing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar equipment; troubleshooting distribution and transmission controls circuits.
Responsibilities
- Perform acceptance, maintenance and commissioning testing of electrical power apparatus in substations.
- Test and commission protective relaying equipment.
- Develop and follow standard commissioning and testing procedures for protection and control schemes.
