Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Glendale, California, is seeking a Field Engineer- Spring 2027 Grads to contribute to high-profile projects and gain hands-on experience across pre-construction through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field.
• 0–8–12 months of field engineer/coordinator experience preferred; internships count.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, methods and procedures.
• Understands and applies construction principles to problem solve.
• Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors.
• Proven track record to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors, designers and inspectors.
• Develops and maintains effective partner relationships.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and construction related software.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
• Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning.
• Maintains project document control and procedures. Supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings.
• Participates in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs).
• Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns).
• Identifies issues on-site or in defined work scopes.
• Coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Participates in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Develop and maintains positive relationships focusing on all partners.

The estimated salary range for this role is $83,000 -$88,000 based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
