SOCOTEC US is seeking experienced Special Inspectors and Field Engineers for FTC opportunities in New York. The roles involve performing inspections, reviewing and submitting reports in compliance with NYS Department of Buildings codes, with a typical schedule from 7am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications

• ICC, AWS, NICET and/or ACI certifications required.
• ICC Commercial or Residential Certification required.
• Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, etc.) preferred.
• Familiarity with the New York City Building Code.
• Ability to read prints and identify inspection locations.
• Ability to produce inspection reports to company standards.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Reliable transportation.
• Extensive knowledge of industry standards.
• Punctual and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work various shifts.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites daily.
• Strong teamwork and communication with project managers.
• Prepare and submit daily reports electronically.
• Organized and efficient.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid driver license.

Responsabilités

• Complete assigned inspection as scheduled by dispatch.
• Inspect, review and submit reports per NYS DOB code and approved drawings.
• Usual schedule is 7am-3:30pm.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
