Kiewit is seeking a Field/Office Engineer to join our Southeast District in a dynamic heavy civil construction environment. The role offers exposure to field and office engineering, with opportunities for travel and relocation to projects across the Southeast/East Coast.

The position supports field surveying, takeoffs, safety, and project coordination while collaborating with engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to deliver bridges, tunnels, and other core infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of related professional experience in construction
• Ability to travel and relocate as required
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of computers with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Good attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Must have a valid Driver's License

Responsabilités

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision
• Perform quantity takeoffs by measurements and material percentages
• Assist in preparing work plans and work packages
• Assist field surveying and layout support including elevation and control points
• Maintain daily labor timesheets and job cost data
• Prepare Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and safety reviews
• Support underground tunneling and construction operations
• Order and schedule material deliveries
• Coordinate on-site work groups and supervise field operations
• Assist in cost reporting and change orders
• Provide field support and supervise subcontractor activities
• Assist in bid data review and submittals-processing
