Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a field operations assistant to help obtain, evaluate, and coordinate information for construction per contract documents. You’ll ensure safety, schedule adherence, and high-quality work on site, reporting to the Project Superintendent. You’ll assist in documenting DCRs and coordinating with subcontractors and drawings.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education from an accredited program in Engineering, Construction or relevant field.
• Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and grade work for building layout and control.
• Assist in implementation of site safety program.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and codes.
• Maintain contract documents and electronic field-operation records.
• Assist in preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).
• Review work for accuracy within tolerances.
• Review drawings and shop drawings for coordination and installation.
• Assist in preparation of project as-builts.
• Support Turner interests and related duties as assigned.
