Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia is seeking an Entry-level Field Operations assistant to support the field team in coordinating information and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence on the project.

You will report to the Project Superintendent and assist with layout, safety implementation, document management, and daily reporting to help drive project success on this Philadelphia project.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction or relevant education.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing; good interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and grade work for building layout and control.
• Assist in implementation of site safety program as required.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and applicable safety codes and regulations.
• Assist in maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.
• Assist in preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCR’s).
• Review work to ensure accuracy within tolerances and coordination of drawings.
• Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for proper coordination.
• Assist in preparation of project as-builts.
• Assist in protecting Turner interests in related matters.
• Other duties as assigned.
