Job summary

Terracon seeks an engineer to provide engineering and consulting services across diverse projects. Responsibilities include field investigations, analysis, design and development of plans, and report writing. You will review drawings, propose cost estimates, and assist in solving design issues for public works, transportation, commercial, and energy sectors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a valid driver's license. Engineering Intern (EIT) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Engineering Intern (EIT) or ability to obtain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and report issues to management.
• Understand and practice quality acumen.
• Support consistent quality standards on proposals and project delivery.
• Developing engineering professional; assignments designed to develop knowledge and abilities.
• Assist in research, data collection, field observation, inspection, and field and laboratory testing; prepare reports.
• Evaluate routine laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
• Consult with other technical people and supervisor on routine and less complex projects.
• May perform basic calculations and engineering analysis.
• Draft routine proposals and assist in the preparation of more complex proposals.
• Performs plan drafting using CAD software.
• Work with engineering technician crews in testing, observations and data gathering and document findings.
• Works under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
