Job summary

State Utility Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer for water and sewer pipeline construction in North Carolina. You will work with the Superintendent to oversee daily crew operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-budget progress on-site.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of pipeline field experience or a 4-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with strong plans reading, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising pipeline crews and coordinating field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and grades.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day supervision of pipeline crews.
• Maintain safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
• Prepare daily reports and track project progress.
• Support inspections, field documentation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and inspectors.
