Job summary

State Utility Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for water and sewer pipeline construction in Statesville, NC. This field role supports the Superintendent in daily crew oversight, safety, and project on-time delivery.

You will coordinate crews, schedules, and materials, prepare daily progress reports, and liaise with inspectors and clients. A strong lead can advance toward a Superintendent role.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of pipeline construction experience as a Foreman or a 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and grades.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day supervision of pipeline crews.
• Maintain safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
• Prepare daily reports and track project progress.
• Support inspections, field documentation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Represent the company with clients and inspectors.
