Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Superintendent on our Taylor, Texas project. The FE will assist with field management, layout, safety, and quality control on site.

Requirements: a 4-year degree in Civil/Structural/Construction Management, 1 year of experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office, ProjectSight, Primavera and AutoDesk.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• At least 1 year of field experience or equivalent education.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel templates, and project software.

Responsibilities

• Project layout (surveying) in conformance with designs and contracts.
• Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy before placement.
• Perform production trend analysis for quantities and reporting.
• Support quality control, safety initiatives, and coordination of trade partners.
• Assist foremen and trades with interpretation of plans and specs.
• Collaborate with the VDC team on scope and deliverables.
