Job summary
Aro Homes is seeking an experienced field engineer to be the on-site engineering presence across active homes in the Mountain View area. You will answer field questions, perform redlines, update BOMs and Field Kits, and ensure field reality aligns with drawings.
Expect daily field time in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties, regular work at the Mountain View office, and periodic visits to the Sacramento plant.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in construction, field engineering, or related role.
- Fluency reading architectural, structural, and MEP construction documents.
- Track record of closing issues and following through to resolution.
- Strong Bluebeam skills and comfort with BIM viewers and structured docs.
Responsibilities
- Own the field’s questions for superintendents and crews with fast, timeline-driven answers.
- Diagnose problems across architectural, structural, and MEPF scopes and determine fixes.
- Make edits in Bluebeam, update BOMs and Field Kits, propagate changes to all affected homes.
- Route issues needing a discipline owner and stay engaged until closure.
- Convert recurring field issues into change requests with photos and context.
- Verify that changes resolve issues on the next home in the sequence.
- Support module set and critical assembly weeks to protect the schedule.
