Job summary

OIL & GAS is seeking an experienced Equipment BOM Specialist with hands-on SAP PM/MM experience to develop and validate equipment BOMs, maintain material records, and map equipment to parts for heavy industrial assets in LNG, oil and gas environments.

The role requires 5+ years of BOM and spare-parts management, strong Excel skills, and the ability to interpret OEM manuals, P&IDs, drawings, and vendor documentation. Full-time on site in Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in equipment BOMs, SAP PM/MM, spare-parts management, material master data, or maintenance data.
• Hands-on experience developing equipment BOMs and establishing equipment-to-material relationships for industrial assets.
• Ability to interpret OEM manuals, P&IDs, engineering drawings, equipment datasheets, parts catalogs, and vendor documentation.
• Experience reviewing CMMS/BOM structures and identifying missing parts, duplicates, obsolete records, or incorrect linkages.
• Strong Excel skills for data matching, reconciliation, validation, and exception reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop equipment BOMs and establish equipment-to-material linkages using OEM manuals, drawings, vendor documents, and spare-parts lists.
• Review P&IDs, equipment drawings, datasheets, parts catalogs, and existing CMMS/BOM structures.
• Identify missing components, spare parts, consumables, manufacturer details, part numbers, quantities, and units of measure.
• Validate material descriptions, specifications, manufacturer references, and interchangeable parts.
• Identify missing material attributes, obsolete records, data inconsistencies, and gaps in material masters.
• Prepare BOM upload templates, equipment-material mapping files, cross-reference logs, exception reports, and supporting documentation.
• Perform BOM completeness, accuracy, and data-integrity checks before and after system loading.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to resolve data issues.
• Coordinate with Asset Hierarchy and Maintenance Build teams to align BOMs with approved structures.
• Support data migration, defect correction, validation, and final project handover.

Job Summary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA PM/MM and BOM or material master mass‑load tools.
• Knowledge of spare‑parts optimization, critical spares, interchangeability, and material master governance.
• Experience in LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, process, or heavy industrial facilities.
• Experience supporting CMMS implementation, maintenance data builds, material data cleansing, data migration, or catalog enrichment projects.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and participating in technical review workshops.
