Socket.dev is seeking a Field Engineer in Williston, North Dakota to work both in-office and at customer sites. You will identify practical field solutions, support applications, and provide vendor-managed inventory services. Travel to customer locations is expected 20–40%.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with sales, and training customers on Swagelok-based solutions in the oil, gas, and chemical markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience in oil, gas or chemical industries preferred.
• Direct customer-facing engineering experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead on customer projects from concept to completion, including P&ID development and component selection.
• Collaborate with sales to identify application-specific solutions and guide customers through the sales cycle.
• Lead onsite service efforts, coordinate with customers and internal teams to drive field improvements.
• Assist customers with inventory management and stocking needs.
• Deliver technical presentations and training to customers and prospects.
• Support development and execution of sales strategies using application insights.
