Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Amarillo, TX seeks a Field Engineer to support site Superintendent with field management, layout, safety, and quality control responsibilities.

You will review plans, coordinate trades, and help ensure on‑time project delivery while gaining supervisory experience.

This safety‑sensitive role requires a civil/structural/construction management degree, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office, ProjectSight, and 3D modeling tools.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture or Construction Management.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
• Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction, including all embedded items.
• Perform production trend analysis for quantities of work in place and report for the weekly and monthly schedule and cost control reports.
• Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives and coordination of trade partners as delegated by the project superintendent.
• Collaborate with the VDC team on VDC scope of work, execution plan and deliverables related to field operations.
