Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Superintendent in on-site field management. The role emphasizes field layout, quality control, safety, and coordination with trade partners, with opportunities for supervisory experience.

Applicants should have a 4-year civil/structural/architecture/construction management degree or equivalent, and at least 1 year of related experience. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• 1 year of experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer software proficiency: MS Office, Excel-based templates, ProjectSight, Primavera, Autodesk Suite.

Responsibilities

• Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
• Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction.
• Support weekly/monthly schedule and cost control reports with trend analysis.
• Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives and coordination of trade partners.
• Coordinate material deliveries and inspect delivered materials for quantity and quality.
• Assist foremen and trade partners with interpretation of plans and specifications.
• Oversee workforces and participate in jobsite safety meetings.
