Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Field Engineer in Hawaii to support the Superintendent with field management, layout, safety, and quality control. You will help supervise trades, review plans, and coordinate with the VDC team on project deliverables.

The role requires a 4-year related degree and 1 year of experience, with opportunities for growth into Office/Project Engineer tracks. Competitive benefits apply and COLA may be included.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• 1 year of experience and/or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
• Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy before placement of concrete.
• Produce production trend analysis for quantities of work in place and report for schedule and cost control.
• Assist with quality control, safety initiatives and coordination of trade partners.
• Coordinate material deliveries and inspect materials for quantity, quality, and condition.
• Assist foremen and trade partners with interpretation of plans and specifications.
• Oversee trade partners and direct a work crew to gain supervisory experience.
• Participate in jobsite safety meetings and weekly safety audits.
• Collaborate with the VDC team on scope of work and deliverables related to field operations.
• Review current 3D model viewing and scheduling software.
