Bechtel Global Corporation in San Jose, CA is seeking a full-time Field Engineer for Labor, Equipment, and Materials (LEM) at the Newhall Yard and West Portal construction site. The engineer will verify costs associated with labor and materials, and ensure compliance with contract terms.

Field Engineer - Labor, Equipment and Materials (LEM) reports to the CP2 Assistant Resident Engineer – Cost Verification. The engineer is responsible for the contemporaneous field verification, documentation, and substantiation of reimbursable direct costs associated with labor, equipment, and materials. The role is full‑time and site‑based at the Newhall Yard and West Portal construction site. The engineer serves as the primary point of field‑based cost reporting and tracking, ensuring that all reimbursable work is accurately measured and recorded, supported by auditable documentation, aligned with contract requirements, and correlated with physical progress and production.
The position requires close coordination with the contractor, resident engineer team, and the contracts and project controls teams.

Location: San Jose, CA. Salary range: $111,520 - $150,880 annually.
