Job summary

Sundt is seeking committed engineering (Civil, Structural, and Mechanical) and construction management students for internships across the United States. The program offers hands-on experiences on challenging projects and the chance to contribute to project success while developing future leadership skills.

Interns will participate in record keeping, safety inspections, surveys, cost control, and vendor coordination. A strong interest in construction and proficiency with MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Strong willingness to learn and take on challenges.
• Interest in a construction career for a builder.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost-control records.
• Assist with report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging.
• Assist with surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing corrections.
• Assist with timekeeping, cost control, inventory control, schedule checks, and subcontractor monitoring.
• Attend bid openings and meetings, take notes and help with forms.
• Observe and report results of meetings or site tours.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, call vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Work as a helper or technician assistant as needed.
