Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking committed engineering and construction management students for a national internship program. You will gain hands-on experience on challenging projects across the United States, participate in activities involved in building our projects, and learn from a team of seasoned professionals who value initiative and collaboration.

As an intern, you will assist with record keeping, shop drawings, cost control, safety inspections, surveying, and on-site field support.

Qualifications

• Team player ready and willing to take on challenges.
• Enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Eager to learn, immensely curious, and ready to get hands dirty.
• Interest in a construction career for a builder.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with project record keeping, preparing shop drawings, and assisting with cost control records.
• Assisting with report preparation, safety inspections, submittal logging and processing.
• Assisting with surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction and filing.
• Assisting with time keeping and cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, subcontractor monitoring.
• Attending bid openings, conferences, etc.; taking notes, making records, completing forms.
• Observing and reporting results of meeting and conducting site tours for visitors.
• Preparing quantity take-offs, calling vendors and sub-contractors for proposals.
• Working as a manual laborer, helper, clerk or technician assistant, etc.
